![]() PASīOYS Windom 62, PAS 48 Despite carrying a 27-24 lead into the second half, the Arrow boys appeared rather flat on the evening, especially in their offensive sets as no player finished in double figures. Kirsten Houg, Alderson and Evans each had two steals against the Eagles, and Mackenzie Haroldson and Morgyn Carson (four rebounds) had one steal apiece. Skyberg (four rebounds) pilfered five passes, while Velde (six rebounds) finished with three steals on the night. Defensively, the Arrows intercepted far more passes than the Eagles gaining a 16-4 edge in steals. Sophomore forward Kiaya Alderson aided the PAS attack with seven offensive rebounds as part of her team-leading 11 boards on the night. When the outside shooting and dribble-drive efforts of the Arrows’ backcourt trio didn’t yield results, Pipestone Area sought the height and touch of junior center Alexis Evans, who posted nine points and three rebounds. Fellow guard Shelby Bloemendaal (soph.) also dished off well in adding to her offensive stats finishing with 12 points and three assists, while eighth-grade guard Zoe Velde added her attacking punch with 10 markers and four assists. PAS junior guard Rachel Skyberg paced the Arrows in a balanced scoring effort, posting a team-high 13 points to go along with six assists. GIRLS PAS 54, Windom 36 The Arrows continued to use a variety of weapons in attack and defend with great tenacity, earning their second conference victory of the young campaign. ![]() ![]() The Pipestone Area basketball team earned a Big South Conference split with the hosting Windom Area Eagles Friday night in Windom, as the Arrow girls (4-0) remained undefeated following a 54-36 victory and the boys dropped to 3-2 on the heels of a 62-48 loss.
